COVID-19 Impact on Farmers

The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown the Cambodian economy and health of millions of people into a perilous state. Farmers are one of the worst affected groups in the kingdom. They were already struggling economically and socially before the arrival of the pandemic. Now with the fear of COVID-19 and the impact brought with it, they are only seeing their existing problems getting worse. Most of them are undergoing a serious debt crisis, food and water shortages, and discrimination, just to name a few. These issues have severely affected their well-being and human dignity. Contained in the report below are the real situation on the ground with which Cambodian farmers are facing and our recommendations to mend the problems.
